What if

Her hangi bir koşulun nasıl bir sonuç yaratacağını sormak için kullanılan bir soru ifadesidir.
Ex:
1. What if I don't call my parents?
(anne ve babamı aramazsam ne olur?)
– They will be sad.
Ex:
2. What if this boy steals money?
(bu çocuk para çalarsa ne olur?)
– The police will catch him.

Note: Yukarıdaki örneklerden de anlaşılacağı gibi “What if'le yapılan soru cümlelerinin yapısı aşağıdaki gibi olmalıdır.

– What if she doesn't want money?
– What if he helps your homework?
– What if she sings a beautiful song?
– What if he carries a heavy box?
– What if they have an exam tomorrow?
– What if they don't call her for her birthday?
– What if she plays snowball in cold weather?
– What if he doesn't get a driving license?
