‘High Land’ is a city in the south of New Zealand. If you want to spend a day there you can do many things. Here are some of the many things…
If it is Saturday you can go to the Grand Bazaar. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. They taste wonderful.
There is an aquarium in the centre. You can see 210 species. The whale is the most popular fish there. It is very big. You can also see dolphins, piranhas and other interesting fish.
You can take a walk along the Freedom Street. There are a lot of shops, cafes, cinemas, offices and parks for picnics. You can eat your fresh fruit there.
You can take a one–hour boat excursion. There are a lot of yatchs and boats in the harbour.
It’s not expensive but the queue may be longer than you expect.
What can you eat in High Land? Of course seafood. There is a restaurant chain which is
famous for fresh fish and reasonable prices called ‘Uncle Fred’s’. You would like to eat everything in that shop. I’m sure …
