Grammer Rules

1. Yardımcı fiilleri ‘do’ ve ‘does’ dır.Burada asıl vurgulanması gereken düz cümlelerde bu yardımcı fiillerin görünmemesidir.
Aşağıda hangi öznelerle hangi yardımcı fiillerin kullanılması gerektiği yazılmaktadır.

‘Do’ yardımcı fiilinin kullanıldığı cümlelerde esas fiil hiç değişmez, aynen yazılır.
Ancak;
‘Does’ yardımcı fiilinin kullanıldığı cümlelerde ise fiil aşağıdaki şekillerde değişikliğe uğrar.
a. -s :Genel kural olarak tüm fiiller sonuna –s takısı alarak geniş zamanda cümle oluşturur.
Play – plays swim-swims
Listen – listens speak – speaks
b. -es: Sonu –ch, –sh, –o, –x, –s, –z ve –ss ile biten fiiller ‘does’ yardımcı fiiliyle kullanıldığında –es alır.
Watch – watches wash – washes
Go – goes kiss – kisses
c. Sonu sessiz harf+y ile biten fiiller –does yardımcı fiili aldığında ‘y’ düşer ve fiil –ies alır.
Study – studies şy – şies
Cry – cries
d. ’Have’ fiili ise bütün kuralların dışında ‘has’ şekline dönüşür.
e. ’be’ fiili de geniş zamanda kullanılır ve şahıslara göre ‘am, is, are’ şeklinde çekimlenir. Bunların olumsuzu ve sorusu önceki konularda anlatıldığı gibidir. Kendileri de yarımcı fiil olduğu için ‘do-does’ yardımcı fiilleri onları etkilemez.

NOT:

Edatla yazılan fiiller ‘s’ takısı alırken edat değil ana fiil ‘s’ takısı alır.
Get on – gets on take off – takes off

Activity Exercise

Add ‘s’
1. live 2. sleep
3. finish 4. have shower
5. stay 6. get up
7. try 8. teach
9. type 10. make

Answers:

1. lives 2. sleeps 3. finishes 4. has shower 5. stays
6. gets up 7. tries 8. teaches 9. types 10. makes

Çünkü does ortaya çıktıktan sonra fiil yukardaki takıların hiçbirini almamalıdır.
