So That/Such That

a. so adj that

She was so beautiful that everybody looked at her.
Bu yapıda ‘so’; ‘very’ anlamında sıfatı nitelemek için ‘that’ ise yapıyı ikinci cümleye bağlamak için kullanılır.

b. such adj + noun that

She was such a beautiful girl that everybody looked at her.
Bu yapının ‘so that’ yapısından farkı; such ile that arasında sadece sıfat değil, hem sıfat hem de ismin almasıdır. Tekil-çoğul kullanımlarına dikkat edilmelidir.

They were such beautiful şowers that I paid a lot of money to buy them.

They were such beautiful shoes that I couldn’t go out of the shop without buying them.
